Siete Perros País
Itata Valley
Just like any stray dog, our friendly Santiago come up and gradually won our hearts with his humble and resilient way of being, in the same way that the centenary vines that give birth to this wine captivated us.
Coming from dry farmed old-vines more than 100 years old which are naturally farmed in a cool area of the Itata Valley, this País, an often forgotten grape, is fermented with its wild yeasts and minimal intervention.
país grape
This wine is our interpretation of the País grape, the very first variety planted in the Americas. Aged in stainless steel vats, without the use of oak barrels, in order to preserve its rich and fresh fruit.
tasting
“A wine of pure varietal expression, it has aromas of flowers and red fruits, slight earthy touches (common in this grape), and a texture rich in firm and fine tannins. The acidity is refreshing. A red wine to drink in the summer.”
